Review: The Rogue Not Taken

The Rogue Not Taken The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah MacLean
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. I am a sucker for carriage scenes and most of this book revolves around a trip by carriage. I loved the main characters. MacLean's writing is always so humorous and touching. Her titles are also so cleaver and truly go with her books. If you are looking for a fun romance this is a great choice.

Review: Into the Wild

Into the Wild Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I had heard such great things about this book and it has been on my shelf for awhile now. I liked how Krakauer also brought other examples in to help us understand the motivations of Chris and why he did what he did. The author makes comparisons to other people who met similar fates as well as himself. The interviews with his family and friends also help paint a picture of the young man and how he chose to live his life. I highly recommend this book. It is a really quick read.

Review: Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up

Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up by Marie Kondō
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I though this was a good companion book to her first book. It went into a little more detail about tidying and goes into more detail on what to do after you have tidied and now need to store your belongings. It has illustrations to help you with folding different clothing and that was a huge help. She also gives some great ideas on what to use for storage without buying a bunch of storage supplies.

Review: In the Spinster's Bed

In the Spinster's Bed In the Spinster's Bed by Sally MacKenzie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this novella. This is a prequel to her new series. I read the first book What to Do With a Duke last year and loved it. I felt reading that first, I got more out of this novella because I was familiar with the village and I already knew the premise from the other book. But it is a cute read if you haven't read the first book or would want to start there then move on. I loved the characters. I thought they were both great, since it is a novella there wasn't a ton of character development. It was a well paced novella as well. I highly recommend this book.

Review: Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking

Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I found this book very interesting. Cain looks at our culture and how introverts function in our culture. It was very fascinating and goes into the types of personalities introverts may have an how we are living in a world built for extroverts. If you are interested in how people think and why they act certain ways. I think this book is a good one for people to read so that people can understand others. I loved the audiobook version of this, the narrator was really good.

Whatever is lovely

I loved this coloring book. It was inspirational and relaxing. I also love when the coloring books don't have pictures on both sides and this had limited stuff on the back of the pages. This allows you to use any type of materials you would like.. This is a fun one to get.

Review: One Little Kiss

One Little Kiss One Little Kiss by Robin Covington
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I liked this novella, but felt it wasn't quite long enough. It felt more like a short story then a novella. I couldn't find if this went with a series by the author. I find that some novellas do depend on your knowledge of the series it comes from. I really liked the characters and the problems they had to overcome. I wish the author had actually taken this and made it into a full length novel. This is a contemporary romance.

Review: Nimona

Nimona Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is now one of my favorite books. I loved her characters and how she played with what we expected to happen. Nimona is such a strong and fun character. This is a great read for those who like fairy tale type stories and it allows you to think about what makes a villain.
