Reading Slump

The last week or so I have been having a terrible reading slump. No book I pick up could hold my attention. When I have trouble sticking with a novel I usually take a step back and take a break. I have found a couple things that work for me to help me get back on track with reading! What I did this last weekend was read a bunch of graphic novels. I actually have a huge stack waiting to be read. Since a graphic novel only takes me an hour or two it is not a large commitment. I have a bunch I have taken from the library and some I have not read from the Comic Bento Box I get each month filled with graphic novels. This helps me take a break from the heavy reading and still engages my mind. Te other thing I do is re-read books. I pick a book I know I will enjoy and read that to help me kick start my interest. So those are a few things I do to help me get over a reading slump.

The Secrets of Life and Death

I got this book from blogging for books in exchange for an honest review. I found this book a bit hard to get into. I liked the writings style but I did get a bit confused with the plot a couple times. I did think it was interesting that it flipped back and forth between the two timelines. Based off what I have heard about this book I as hoping to like it more. 

Comic Bento Box: January 2015

Comic Bento Box January 2015

                I always look forward to see what they are going to include in my Comic Bento Box each month. January's theme for the box was Crime. I think they included a good selection for this month's box. I really like this option because it has given me some great places to start with comic series and my TBR list of comics keeps growing. The last couple of months have had some awesome comics and it is widening my knowledge of comics. I also am enjoying seeing the variety of art on this genre and  the different ways authors and artists express their ideas. Can't wait to see what they send me next month.
