1000 Books Before Kindergarden

I recently heard about the 1000 books before kindergarden program. I am very excited about this. I planned on doing a lot of reading with my baby and this is a fun challenge I can undertake to help her succeed. I am making sure I keep track of all the books I read to her so I can keep track of how many we read and which books she reads. This will also help me to see what type of books I am reading to her and what to add to the list. My goal going into this is to give her access to a wide variety of diverse books. So i am excited to learn more about children's board books and picture books. I do admit this is not an area of strength for me. Since my daughter is six weeks old right now I have some time to explore this spcific world of books. If you know of any diverse books I need to add to my list please let me know! is spcific world of books. If you know of any diverse books I need to add to my list please let me know!

Review: Never Seduce a Scot

Never Seduce a Scot Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. The characters where likable and you really cared for them. I thought the plot was very well paced. There were not any slow moments in the story. The love between the main characters seemed a bit quick but that does not distract from the story. I also liked that the heroine was deaf. So we get to see how she deals with that struggle and hw it effects her world. I like when the hero or heroine have a challenge that makes them a more realistic character. I can't wait for more books in this series.

Review: Ghosts from Our Past

This was a fun book. If you were a fan of the movie this is a wonderful read. I think it was well done and very enjoyable. I greatly enjoy when movies do tie in books like this. I think it adds a fun elment and a further way to explore the topics and characters you have watched on the screen.

Review: The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie

The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this novel. I enjoy book that have heros or heroines that are different from what you find in most romance novels. Lord Ian is a very interesting character who you care for. I also liked the charaterization of Beth, his love interest. The plot is well paced and well written. I highly recommend you add this to your must read list.
