Review: Hope Springs on Main Street

Hope Springs on Main Street Hope Springs on Main Street by Olivia Miles
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a great addition to this series. I think it is important to read at least the first book in the series before diving into this one. I think you get a better understanding for Jane as a character. I really like this book, but I felt like it ended very suddenly. I would have liked more of an epilogue for this book. I am hoping the author writes more in this series so that I can see where the characters go from here. What I like about her books is that she does not shy away from talking about real issues. The characters and situations feel very real.

Review: Mistletoe on Main Street

Mistletoe on Main Street Mistletoe on Main Street by Olivia Miles
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I greatly enjoyed this book. This author focuses on her character development and the character motivation. I loved her characters. This is a sweet holiday story and work checking out. This is the first book in her Briar Creek series. As of right now the first three books are out. I am hoping that she writes more in this series because there are some minor characters I would love to read about. What I also really loved about this book is how she uses it to set up the other books in the series. You do not have to read them in order to understand what is going on, but I think you really get more out of it by reading this one first since ti sets up all the characters. I would recommend reading them in order though, Unlike many romance series she really builds her characters and situations through each book. I recommend this one if you are looking for a sweet holiday read.

Review: Bella and the Beast

Bella and the Beast Bella and the Beast by Olivia Drake
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I greatly enjoyed this book. The way Drake writes definitely allows the reader to empathize and feel for her characters. I was amused half way through because I don't typically get angry at other characters or have such strong emotional reactions to characters. I loved the main characters. Bella was sassy and interesting and Miles was brooding but charming. I also liked the set up that parallels the story Beauty and the Beast. This is a great series by Olivia Drake. While some of the scenes and the relationship between the two characters seems a bit rushed, it was a delightful look at the characters. I would have liked a bit more development in certain places but overall this was a fantastic read. I was given a free copy of this book by Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Review: Merry Christmas, Mrs. Robinson

Merry Christmas, Mrs. Robinson Merry Christmas, Mrs. Robinson by Delilah Marvelle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really liked this novella. It will be published on November 3rd from Entangled Publishing. It was previously released with another novella in All I want for Christmas is a Duke. This novella is about a second chance at love. It has two strong protagonist and I loved the hero for this novella. I actually wish that Delilah Marvelle has written this into a full length novel. I think there was enough material for that. The only element I did not like was the title. The title for this novella does not seem to really fit the story for me. It is a cute read and worth checking out.

I was given a free galley of this novella in exchange for an honest review by Netgalley.
